Breakfast Time – Una Brioche con un cappuccino

Are you looking for a cozy and relaxing bar to start your day in Milan?
In Porta Venezia you can find it. The bar is called Pavé and they have the best “brioche con la crema di pistaccio” – which is a delicious croissant with a cream of pistachios. The perfect partner for this tasty croissant is a traditional Italian cappuccino that gives you the right energy for your day. If you are not a coffee junky like me you will find also drinks such as fresh juices or a big selection of herbal infusions. For chocolate lovers, they actually also sell their own chocolate which is really amazing! Not only the design is pretty cute, but also the quality!
Once you have finished your breakfast, you can have a walk at Corso Buones Aires, which is one of the shopping areas in Milan! And if you are not in the shopping mood – there is also a nice park where you can just enjoy the sun!

Lunch Time – it’s Pasta Time

A must-have for being in Milan:  Actually, you cannot leave Milan before not having a nice plate of hand-made pasta. There is a young start-up which is called Miscusi and it is officially my pasta-wonderland. The concept is pretty simple. In the menu you can chose which type of pasta you would like to take. For instance, you can select between spaghetti, paccheri rigatoni and trofie. Afterwards you can decide which sauce you would like to try. Here you can choose between traditional plates such as carbonara, cacao e pepe and pesto Genovese. For those one of you who would like to try something new, you can design also your own pasta based on toppings such as burrata, pistachios cream, basil cream and various nuts. One thing is sure: in this menu everyone can discover their favorite pasta!

For winelovers, I can also highly recommend to take a tasty glass of wine. At Miscusi you can find a special selection of organic Italian wines.  So, why not having a little bit of “la bella vita” at lunch? ☺

Trying something new for dinner

One of the trendiest areas now in Milan is Zona Isola. Here you can find a big variety of new bars and restaurants. As the name shows, this area feels like an island. It gives you the impression of being in a smaller city, far away from the chaos of the center. My favorite bar is called the “Wooding Bar”. I am totally in love with their concept! They are looking for exploring and cooking wild food which is available in our eco-system.  The founders are keen on re-connecting their guests with ancient food transformation techniques and gastronomic traditions. This concept is also reflected in the interior design of the bar which gives you an interesting feeling of modern design with a rustic touch. Once you are there, make sure to try also one of their innovative cocktails based on wild ingredients.
