The Sunken Chip

The Sunken Chip brilliantly brings up-to-date the famous fish & chips. Opened in 2013 near the Canal Saint-Martin, you will find several fish varieties (coalfish, hake, haddock) cooked with a light crispy breadcrumbs. The whole is accompanied by french fries, then placed in the equivalent (much more hygienic) of a newspaper. We strongly recommend you to taste their famous mashed peas flavored with mint and olive oil. While you wait to receive your order, you observe the walls of white earthenware (metro type) and large jars. The latter contain large onions and marinated eggs for several weeks. In England, it was a very common delicacy at the bar 2 generations ago! Opt for one or the other, it’s only 1 €.
