Meet Gaan, chef and owner of Khao Taan
CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK:...
Jules et Shim – Korean picnic, is the attention-getter that can be read on the yellow facade. Intrigued, we enter it. Two people are busy in the open kitchen while their colleague cashes the customer in front of us. The menu catches our eye with these different varieties of bibimbaps: pork, tofu, shrimp and beef. The bibimbap is prepared with a base of rice in the form of a dome around which you add vegetables, soy sprouts, coriander, your meat (or tofu). Come the moment of the sauce where you have the choice between spicy and soya. We recommend taking a takeaway if you live next door since their box is so pretty! It looks like a small windmill for children. The plate costs less than 10 € and it is very good and probably very healthy! Very nice and practical on Sunday when the rest of the restaurants in the street are closed. Two other places are also to try, one in Faubourg Poissonnière and the other in Saint-Philippe-Du-Roule.
